(St. Paul, MN)  —  The federal trial of three former Minneapolis police officers charged in connection with the death of George Floyd continues this morning.  Opening statements from both sides were Monday, testimony from a FBI video analyst and a cashier witness were heard yesterday.  All three former cops are accused of violating Floyd’s civil rights as Derek Chauvin, the then-senior officer on the scene, knelt on Floyd’s neck for more than nine minutes as he tried to arrest him back in 2020.  Chauvin was convicted of murder last year.
