(Minneapolis, MN) – Minnesota is expecting to have Afghan refugees moving into the state. The non-profit Alight is asking for donations for the over 250 families they are expecting. A financial contribution can be made online, but the group is also seeking pillows, bedding, food and couches. Former governor Mark Dayton and Minnesota Senator Amy Klobuchar are among those calling for Minnesota residents to help the refugees, who may possess very little.
