The Salvation Army of Minnesota served a record number of people in 2021.  Spokesman Dan Furry says COVID-19 really drove a lot of extra need:

“We served 735,000 people last year and that is in comparison with a non-COVID year 2019 that’s up about 136 percent.”

While hoping for the best, Furry says they are bracing for another high-demand year as cases of COVID continue to surge.
