(Minneapolis, MN) — Former Minnesota police officer Kim Potter continues to wait for her fate to be decided as the jury in her manslaughter trial ended deliberations yesterday without a verdict. Jury members adjourned just after six p.m. local time and are being sequestered at a nearby hotel. They had come into the courtroom about 90 minutes before leaving for the day to ask the judge how long they had to deliberate and what should be done if they cannot reach a consensus. Deliberations will resume this morning. Potter is accused of shooting and killing unarmed Black motorist Daunte Wright during traffic stop in April, when she claims she mistook her service weapon for her Taser.
