The city of Mankato is honoring Rosa Parks on its city buses this week. City officials say from now until next Wednesday, a seat will be reserved on each city bus to honor Rosa Parks’ contribution to the civil rights movement. Parks made history 66 years ago when she refused to give up her seat while riding a bus in Montgomery, Alabama. That decision helped lead to the ending of racial segregation on public facilities.
