(Atlanta, GA) — The CDC is investigating an E.coli outbreak linked to organic baby spinach. The outbreak occurred across seven Midwestern states including Minnesota, South Dakota, Michigan, Iowa, Missouri, Indiana and Ohio. The spinach was sold under the brand Josie’s Organic Baby Spinach and has a ‘best by’ date of October 23rd. The CDC advises consumers not to eat the spinach and wash surfaces that may have come into contact with the contaminated vegetable. Officials are investigating whether other products might be affected.
