(Minneapolis, MN) — Two Minneapolis City Council members are out after losing in yesterday’s municipal election. Phillipe Cunningham of the Fourth Ward was defeated by LaTrisha Vetaw. Challenger Emily Koski won over the incumbent in the 11th Ward Jeremy Schroeder. Both council members that lost supported the failed policing charter amendment. One candidate who supported the measure to replace the police department cam e up victorious. Jason Chavez won the seat in the Third Ward after Alondra Cano chose not to run again.
