(Minneapolis, MN) — The childhood obesity rate in Minnesota is significantly lower than the national rate. A new report out today from the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation shows Minnesota tied with Kansas for the eighth lowest rate of childhood obesity in the country at 11-point-7-percent. Their findings also showed that about one in six American kids ages 10 to 17 are obese.
