(St. Paul, MN) — The only GOP candidate for Minnesota secretary of state is no longer in the running. Phillip Parrish announced on Monday that he was resigning from state and local Republican Party affiliation. He lost in Saturday’s election for state party chair to former Senate minority leader David Hann. The race was to replace Jennifer Carnahan, who stepped down amid controversy in August.
