State lawmakers are touring the state as they consider how to allocate infrastructure funding. A Senate committee spent last week in northeast Minnesota, while a House committee visited northwest Minnesota. Representative Fue Lee says:
“This is a great opportunity for our House members to get out here and hear from some local residents on what are the needs, and really learn about the different projects because we all come from different walks of life and just seeing and hearing from the local community first-hand is really important.”
Most recently, lawmakers allocated $1.8 billion for various projects around the state–and there was around $5 billion in requests.
