“Do your job.” That’s the response of state House Minority Leader Kurt Daudt in the wake of Ramsey County Attorney John Choi announcing a new policy that would put an end to felony prosecutions stemming from non-public safety traffic stops in the county. Daudt says giving free passes to criminals won’t make our cities any safer. But Tyrone Tewill with the St. Paul N-A-A-C-P says black drivers are four times more likely to be pulled over in his city…

“They’re the ones who have been murdered over these crazy stops, stops for no reason, we’re talking about Philando Castille, Dante Wright, George Floyd and on and on across America.”

Daudt says it’s Choi’s job to prosecute people who break the law.
