A Shakopee couple is accused of gaining close to 18 million dollars from investors a part of a Ponzi scheme. Jason and Angela Bullard are charged with running a fraudulent investment business. The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission says the couple, who own Empire Racing Stables LLC, ran the Ponzi scheme from 2007 to 2021. Authorities say a sizable portion of the investor’s money was used to cover the Bullard’s own trading losses.
