It’s too soon to project whether or not gas prices will climb over the long Labor Day weekend. Meredith Mitts is with Triple-A Minnesota:
“We were actually seeing a bit of a decrease before Hurricane Ida hit and came through. In Louisiana and Mississippi the power has been out for about a million people and took roughly 13-percent of the U.S. refining capacity off of line.”
Right now the nationwide average for a gallon of gas is at $3.16 here in Minnesota were sitting at $3.03.
