Information Officer Clark McCreedy says if weather continues to cooperate, the focus today (Wed) will again be strengthening containment lines on the fire’s northeast and east sides — the area closest to the town of Isabella:

“It’ll take us two to three days of very deliberate, arduous work, putting hand crews back in there.”

More rain is in the forecast tomorrow (Thurs).   McCreedy says they’re prepared, if winds shift to the north, to move resources to battle the fire on its southern side, where containment lines are not yet complete.
