Nearly 50 people are safe after a multi-state effort to combat human trafficking. The 12 state effort named “Operation United Front” was led by Missouri Attorney General Eric Schmitt. Schmitt described the operation, which involved officers going undercover and arranging meetups with potential victims, as an unprecedented and something that rarely happens. In addition to the 47 victims that were rescued, 102 people were arrested.
