The Minnesota State Fair is always a destination for fun and food, but also serves as a learning opportunity. A great place to start, the freshly updated Minnesota Farm Bureau building.
“Our theme this year is “Farmers produce more than produce.”
M-F-B foundation director Ruth Meirick says one new feature is a grocery store scanner that goes beyond telling you the price of a product.
“It will tell you some interesting facts about that, maybe how many acres are grown in minnesota, or the first product land o lakes introduced was this product. A little spin on being in a grocery store.”
Meirick says their main goal is to have people walk away knowing a little more about Minnesota’s farm families and the impact farming has on our daily lives.
