(St. Paul, MN) — Minnesotans should know that enhanced federal unemployment benefits will end next week. The Minnesota Unemployment Insurance Program says Congress is not expected to provide an extension, and the expiration date of September 4th cannot be appealed. Those benefits include weekly supplemental payments of 300 dollars. As such, the state Department of Employment and Economic Development is holding two free CareerForce webinars today and next Tuesday at 10 a.m. Officials say they will continue to provide resources to help residents find jobs.
