Public safety officials and the Minnesota Red Cross are pointing to a recent life saving emergency delivery of blood by the Minnesota State Patrol to highlight the need for more blood donations across the state. Jenapher Blair suffered blood loss as a result of complications during pregnancy in July. The hospital was short of her blood type and turned to a relay team of State Troopers to deliver the supply.
“If you guys weren’t there, if you hadn’t received that call, who knows what would have happened. Thank you for everything you do. Thank you for saving lives. My kids have their mom. So thank you.”
Blair said her main goal in telling her story is to highlight the heroism of the troopers who brought her the blood, but also to highlight the shortage of donors.
