Minnesota’s official disability advocacy group will not be at the State Fair this year. Last week, the Minnesota Council on Disability said they would not attend because of a “lack of leadership and policies” regarding COVID-19. In their open letter, the group says leaders should opt for stronger pandemic measures while Minnesotans should not be resistant to masks and vaccines. MCD said they hope the letter serves as a “wake-up call” as the Delta variant surges. The State Fair takes place from August 26th to September 6th.
