— Plans for the “We Love NYC” homecoming concert in Central Park are coming together. Eighty-nine-year-old Clive Davis, who’s producing the show, says the New York Philharmonic will be opening the concert on August 21st on the Great Lawn. In addition, he says LL Cool J will be performing with Reverend Run and Bruce Springsteen will sing “Because the Night” with Patti Smith, a song they co-wrote. Proof of vaccination is required to attend and there will be a maximum of 60-thousand people due to COVID safety.

— Celebrities are helping to promote the reopening of New York City in a new video. The artists are seen performing Billy Joel’s 1976 classic “New York State of Mind” throughout the five boroughs. The video from the NYCNext organization features Sara Bareilles, Idina Menzel and Joel’s daughter Alexa Ray Joel, just to name a few. TV personality Andy Cohen is even seen blowing a kiss into the camera.

— Michelle Branch is pregnant. The singer/songwriter shared the news on Instagram Sunday that she’s expecting her second child with her husband, Black Keys drummer Patrick Carney. Branch also admitted she was nervous, having suffered a miscarriage in December.

— Johnny Depp is speaking out for the first time since losing his libel case. Speaking with The Sunday Times, he said Hollywood is boycotting him. This comes after a judge ruled he could not sue the U.K. paper The Sun over calling him a “wife-beater” because the majority of allegations of abuse were proven true. He said the “absurdity of media mathematics” played a role in the “surreal” past five years of his life. He noted he is “moving towards” where he needs to go to “bring things to light.” Depp did not comment on an upcoming U.S. defamation suit against his ex-wife Amber Heard.

— Actress Kaley Cuoco is offering to buy the horse who was allegedly hit by a German coach at the Tokyo Olympics. Cuoco took to Instagram to say the coach and athlete’s actions were “disgusting, classless, and abusive.” The Flight Attendant actress and avid equestrian said they should be ashamed of themselves. Cuoco then went on to offer to buy the hose and give it the life it should have. The “Big Bang Theory” alum asked them to “name their price.” The coach allegedly hit the animal after they refused to jump at an event earlier this month.

— A Ryan Reynolds led sci-fi action comedy is the big winner at the box office. “Free Guy” made 26-million-dollars during its debut weekend in North American theaters. The horror sequel “Don’t Breathe” came in at second place with ten-point-six-million-dollars brought in. Disney’s “Jungle Cruise” came in at third in its third weekend bringing in another nine-million-dollars.

— It looks like J-Lo is erasing more of A-Rod from her life. Jennifer Lopez has deleted most Instagram photos with Alex Rodriguez four months after they broke up. She also unfollowed him. But the same isn’t true for the former New York Yankees star. He still follows his ex and has posts of them together. After their split, the 52-year-old singer and actress rekindled her relationship with Ben Affleck. Those two are said to be going strong and even house hunting.
