— David Schwimmer is responding to rumors that he and “Friends” co-star Jennifer Aniston are dating. He shut down the rumor after Closer magazine reported they began seeing each other romantically following the HBO Max Friends reunion earlier this year. During the special, both admitted to having feelings for each other while filming the hit 90s sitcom. Fans went wild after Closer Magazine reported the story and many fans celebrated that Ross and Rachel were getting a shot in real life. However, Schwimmer’s rep denied the rumors.
— Arnold Schwarzenegger says if you don’t get vaccinated against COVID-19 or wear a mask because you feel like it’s a matter of personal freedom, then “you’re a schmuck.” In a new YouTube video, the former California governor compared face mask regulations to traffic laws that keep the public safe. The Terminator actor went on to remind Americans they are supposed to protect the people around them. Schwarzenegger said he’s not trying to villainize anyone, but rather encourage everyone to work together to fight the coronavirus.
— Robin Williams’ son is remembering his father on the seventh anniversary of his death. Zak Williams took to Twitter on Wednesday to let his father know that the joy and inspiration he brought to the world has carried on. He noted his father lived to bring laughter and to help others. Williams took his own life in 2014 after suffering from depression. He was 63.
— Lil Nas X is sticking to music for the time being. He recently told Variety he turned down a role in the hit show “Euphoria.” He said he definitely wants to get into acting but he wants to give music his all right now. The 22-year-old rapper took to Twitter to tell fans he didn’t turn down the role because he thought he was too good for the show. Nas X noted the HBO drama starring Zendaya is one of his favorite shows at the moment.
— Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis are proving they do bathe their children after all. The couple took to Instagram to share a video during bath time on Wednesday. This comes after the couple said their family doesn’t bathe often thus sparking the conversation among celebrities about their bathing routines. In the video, Kutcher jokingly shouted asking if Kunis was trying to melt their children by putting water on them. Through her laughter, Kunis agreed that four baths this week was too much. Kutcher captioned the video saying “this bathing thing is out of hand.”
— The Powerpuff Girls live-action re-boot is losing one of its main characters. Variety reports Chloe Bennet decided to leave the series after getting cast as Blossom. The show is set to follow Blossom, Bubbles, and Buttercup who decide to return to crime fighting. Dove Cameron and Yana Perrault are still signed to play Bubbles and Buttercup. This comes after the CW decided to redevelop and reshoot the pilot, calling it a miss.
— For the first time is 58 years, a revival of “Funny Girl” is heading to Broadway. The musical is set to star Golden Globe Award nominee Beanie Feldstein, who’s also the sister of actor Jonah Hill. “Funny Girl” first premiered on Broadway in 1964 starring Barbra Streisand. Performances are set to start next spring.
— MTV is revealing this year’s Video Music Awards nominations. Justin Bieber leads the nominees with seven followed closely by Megan Thee Stallion with six. BTS, Billie Eilish, Doja Cat, Drake, Giveon, Lil Nas X and Olivia Rodrigo all earned five nominations. Voting is now open through September 3rd. The VMAs will be presented on September 12th in New York City.
— Jeopardy is confirming longtime game show producer Mike Richards as the next host of the syndicated game show. Richards has served as executive producer of Jeopardy since last year and he has hosted the game show “The Pyramid.” Former star of “The Big Bang Theory” Mayim Bialik will also host a series of ABC primetime specials and a potential spinoff series of the show. Bialik was one of the hosts who took on a two-week stint as a guest host.
