There will be no audio or video coverage of the trial of former Brooklyn Center Police Officer Kim Potter later this year. Yesterday, District Court Judge Regina Chu issued the decision, siding with Potter’s defense attorneys. They argued that she did not consent to recorded or live-streamed coverage. Potter, who faces a second-degree manslaughter charge for the death of Daunte Wright, will go on trial November 30th.
