As parents prepare for back-to-school shopping, the Better Business Bureau (BBB)of Minnesota has a few helpful tips to keep in mind. The BBB’s Bao Vang recommends shoppers research big-ticket items…

“Before purchasing any expensive laptops, tablets or other computer accessories check to see if the school has any available for free or to rent.”

Vang also recommends comparing prices between different retail stores, saving coupons, signing up for email alerts and redeeming any cash-back or rebate offers. And she says it doesn’t hurt to ask if a store has any student or other discounts.
