An air quality alert for Minnesota is continuing. The Minnesota Pollution Control Agency issued the alert Friday for the whole state, and will continue through tomorrow. The agency says the alert is due to “an unprecedented significant air quality event” related to smoke lingering from Canadian wildfires. Northerly winds brought more smoke into the state over the weekend, causing air containing fine particles to recirculate over the state.
