(Rochester, MN) — Rochester Public Schools is requiring face coverings for all students between the ages of two and 11 until further notice. On Tuesday, the school board unanimously approved those mask guidelines as recommended by Superintendent Kent Pekel. Students who are old enough to be vaccinated are only encouraged to wear masks. This comes as state leaders have said that all Minnesota school districts will be able to make their own decisions on mask wearing for the upcoming school year.
