(Ramsey County, MN) — The Ramsey County Board of Commissioners has approved security changes for the Minnesota State Fair. The Joint Powers Agreement, passed yesterday, hands security duties over to the Ramsey County Sheriff’s Office, who will have up to 200 officers work either eight-hour or ten-hour shifts. Those officers would be paid at least 80-dollars-per-hour. The budget for this year’s fair is up more than a million dollars from 2019.
