(St. Paul, MN)  —  Minnesota state Representative John Thompson of Saint Paul confirms he won’t step down from his House seat.  Thompson held a press conference Monday where he said he won’t remain silent and won’t resign.  Thompson is facing several abuse allegations dating back nearly 20 years, all of which he denies.  Thompson came under scrutiny earlier this month when he accused a Saint Paul police officer of profiling him during a traffic stop.  Police say Thompson showed a Wisconsin driver’s license, calling into question his Minnesota residency.
