(Minneapolis, MN)  —  DFL Representative John Thompson is asking for a few days to consider his political future following his conviction in a 2019 obstruction case.  The embattled lawmaker has faced calls to resign from Governor Tim Walz and other legislative leaders after police reports showed Thompson was involved in a series of domestic violence incidents dating back to 2003.  If Thompson decides to stay in office, he could face sanctions and ethics complaints at the State Capitol.
