The Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT) is out with a new report on inter-agency sustainability goals for 2020.

“We’ve made progress in a number of areas since last year, the agency reduced emissions from our facilities by 39%, which exceeded our goal a few years early. Our goal was a 30% reduction by 2025.”

MnDOT’s Siri Simons says that’s the good news, but there is room for improvement in other agencies. Simons says the agency fell short of its emission reduction goals for the transportation sector, and MnDOT is also working to reduce non-motorized serious injuries and fatalities in 2021 and beyond.
