(St. Louis County, MN)  —  A Colorado man is dead after he drowned in the Boundary Water Canoe Area Wilderness.  Sheriff’s deputies say 73-year-old Wayne Morrow of Fort Lupton and a friend were canoeing in Loon Lake yesterday around noon, just south of the Canadian border, when a strong thunderstorm whipped up the lake waters.  A wave then capsized the canoe, causing both men to go under.  Morrow’s friend was able to make it to shore.  Deputies say both men had life jackets with them, but they were not wearing them.
