(Undated)  —  Following a pandemic year, Minnesota has seen a 35-percent jump in overdose deaths compared to 2019.   Estimates from the CDC Wednesday show more than one-thousand overdose deaths were reported in the state in 2020, with many linked to opioid abuse.  Experts say lockdowns and restrictions isolated those suffering with substance abuse, ending up in some fatal results.  Local counselors and advocates say more resources need to be made available as opiates continue to ravage American lives.
