(St. Paul, MN)  —  A Minnesota state lawmaker from Saint Paul who accuses Saint Paul police of pulling him over because of the color of his skin says he’ll allow police to release body cam footage of the encounter.  Representative John Thompson says police pulled him over for being black earlier this month.  Police say Thompson was pulled over for not having a front license plate and he showed a Wisconsin driver’s license.  Thompson released a statement Monday saying the officer did everything by the book during the stop and he supports releasing the footage.
