Paris Hilton has a cooking show coming to Netflix — not to show off her cooking skills, but rather her lack thereof, according to People.  Inspired by her viral YouTube video, Cooking with Paris follows Hilton as she “navigates new ingredients, new recipes and exotic kitchen appliances,” helped out by her celebrity friends.  Cooking with Paris launches August 4 on Netflix…

Showtime has picked up I Love This For You, a comedy series based on Saturday Night Live alum Vanessa Bayer’s own story of overcoming childhood leukemia, according to Variety.  Bayer co-created, executive produced and stars in the series as Joanna Gold, “a woman looking to shed her past cancer identity and dreaming of becoming a host at a home-shopping channel.”  After moving away from her parents, Joanna “falls in love and befriends Jackie — played by fellow SNL alum Molly Shannon — the star of the home shopping channel run by an eccentric billionaire”…

Jean Smart, who currently stars in the HBO comedy series Hacks, has joined the cast of Damien Chazelle‘s Babylon, according to The Hollywood Reporter.  She joins Margot RobbieBrad PittMax MinghellaSamara WeavingEric Roberts in Chazelle’s ode to Hollywood’s golden age.  Sources tell THR Smart is playing a Hollywood journalist/critic who can make or break careers…

Charlie Robinson, the actor best-known for playing the clerk on Night Court for most of the NBC sitcom’s run, died Sunday of cancer complications at Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center in Los Angeles, his manager, Lisa DiSante, tells Deadline.  He was 75.  Over his five-year career, Robinson racked up more than 125 TV and film credits — including an impressive five series-regular roles, including Buffalo BillLove & WarInkBuddy Faro and the aforementioned Night Court.  On film, he appeared in such films as Apocalypse NowThe RiverGray Lady DownBeowulfSet It OffAntwone FisherEven MoneyJackson and Steam
