William Smith, the actor best-known for starring on TV in LaredoRich Man, Poor Man and Hawaii Five-O, died Monday at the Motion Picture & Television Country House and Hospital in Woodland Hills, his wife, Joanne Cervelli Smith, tells The Hollywood Reporter.  He was 88.  On film, Smith starred opposite Arnold Schwarzenegger in Conan the Barbarian and Yul Brynner in The Ultimate Warrior.  His other movies included Red Dawn

Amid rumors Debbie Matenopoulos may be returning to ABC’s The View show to fill the seat being vacated by Meghan McCain her spokesman, in a statement to Entertainment Weekly, says Matenopoulos “will always have a fond place in her heart for The View, the show that launched her career as a 21-year-old straight out of NYU.”  And while not confirming the rumors, they noted that the TV personality would “never say never to returning to her first television home.”  Matenopoulos co-hosted The View for just two seasons from 1997-99, alongside Barbara WaltersJoy BeharStar Jones and Meredith Vieira.  McCain, daughter of the late Arizona Senator John McCain, recently announced she would be leaving the show ahead of its 25th season.  She has served as a conservative voice on the panel since 2017…

Victoria Justice, best known for her role in the Nickelodeon sitcom Victorious, and Community alum Joel McHale have joined the cast of California King, a comedy blending “a story of friendship, mattresses and a kidnapping gone terribly wrong,” according to Variety.  Justice will next be seen starring in Netflix’s Afterlife of the Party.  McHale, who currently hosts the Fox game show Crime Scene Kitchen and stars in the CW’s Stargirl, will next been seen in Queenpins alongside Kristen Bell

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle won an award for deciding to have only two children. The British charity Population Matters, which promotes limiting family size to help save the environment, gave the the couple, who welcomed their second child last month, $695 for their “enlightened decision” to have a small family and for serving as “role models for others.” (Page Six)

Thieves reportedly broke into actress Jodie Turner-Smith‘s hotel room in Cannes and stole tens of thousands of dollars worth of jewelry, including her mother’s wedding ring. According to Variety, “It’s believed Turner-Smith…may have been targeted after wearing gold and diamond jewelry from the Gucci High Jewelry line to the After Yang premiere on Thursday night.”

Tom Cruise turned heads at Wimbledon over the weekend, with USA Today saying the star looked “like Hollywood royalty.” The Mission: Impossible 7 showed up in a three-piece suit with co-stars Hayley Atwell and Pom Klementieff and watched the matches between the two.
