(Buffalo, MN)  —  The Buffalo-Hanover-Montrose School District is paying over 218-thousand dollars in a settlement with Matt Woods.  The former student, who is transgender, said that Buffalo Community Middle School isolated him from others and limited his access to the restroom because of his gender identity.  District officials say the settlement is not from public tax dollars and is not an admittance of any wrongdoing.  Since the resolution of the settlement, a number of school policies have changed around the treatment of transgender students in the district.
