(St. Paul, MN)  —  Following the first day of a special session, lawmakers have agreed on an eviction moratorium “off-ramp.”  A news release says the deal will wind down Governor Walz’s emergency order on evictions and end 105 days after being enacted.  With this agreement, landlords must tell renters of outstanding rent 15 days prior to eviction while renters with an outstanding rental assistance claim can’t be evicted.  Walz’ eviction ban was one of the few rules kept in place after ending more of Minnesota’s COVID-related restrictions.
