Opponents of Enbridge Line 3 marched to Senator Amy Klobuchar’s downtown Minneapolis office Thursday afternoon, asking that she urge President Biden to cancel the controversial pipeline, as he did Keystone XL. TakeAction Minnesota’s Elianne Farhat:
“Was heartening to see Senator Klobuchar return the campaign contribution Enbridge made to her campaign. We hope that it is an indication that she is ready to stand with the people of Minnesota and people across the globe.”
Klobuchar’s office couldn’t immediately be reached for comment. Calgary-based TC Energy announced Wednesday it’s pulling the plug on its Keystone crude oil pipeline, after Canadian officials could not persuade President Biden to reverse his cancellation of its permit.
