(Rochester, MN) — The city of Rochester is closing city-run pools due to several “safety concerns.” Officials say there have been reports of fighting, distracted lifeguards, disregard for pool rules, and unattended children all amid the heatwave. They have also delayed the opening of the recently repaired Silver Lake Pool. Officials say they will take the time to address these concerns and some staffing issues. No reopening date has been determined.
