As most remaining COVID restrictions go away today, and local businesses return to 100-percent capacity, Hospitality Minnesota is expressing concerns about the lack of targeted relief for these businesses.

“We want the public to understand and the policymakers to understand that this is a multi-year recovery for this industry that we’re looking at and it’s not going to just bounce back quickly just because these businesses are open or even because they’re seeing a lot of traffic over the summer, which we expect and hope to be the case.”

Hospitality Minnesota’s Ben Wogsland says more than half of hospitality operators statewide say they’re in jeopardy of collapse in the next six to 12months, even now.
