More than 37 million people are expected to travel over the upcoming Memorial Day weekend. Triple-A Minnesota’s Meredith Mitts says that’s a 60% increase from last year’s record-low of 23 million travelers:

“That’s still 14-percent below pre-pandemic levels but a significant step in the right direction toward traveling.”

While airports will see a major spike in travel, most Memorial Day travelers are expected to take road trips.
