An actor who gained fame on “The Office” has passed away. Mark York is best known for playing Billy Merchant, the properties manager of the Dunder Mifflin office, who like York, was paraplegic, and who had awkward and uncomfortable run-ins with office manager Michael Scott, played by Steve Carrell. His co-stars are tweeting their condolences, with Rainn Wilson calling him a “terrific human” and Jenna Fischer calling him a “lovely man.” An obituary posted near his hometown in Ohio says York died last week of an unexpected illness at age 55.

Three months after undergoing emergency surgery following a serious car accident, golf pro Tiger Woods appeared in public for the first time over the weekend.

A picture shared on a Luna Perrone‘s Instagram account shows Woods, on crutches, posing next to the youngster who is battling Ewing’s Sarcoma.

“I got to have a quick chat with @tigerwoods this weekend when I bumped into him at the soccer fields!” Luna captioned the picture.  “He told me to ‘stay strong’ which has always been my goal! Stay strong physically and mentally and inspire others to do the same! No matter what you are going through YOU GOT THIS!!!”

Tiger was injured in a rollover car crash in Southern California back in February. He underwent emergency surgery on his right leg and later received follow-up procedures for his injuries.

During a press conference in April, Los Angeles County Sheriff Alex Villanueva said speed was the cause of the accident, as well as Woods’ “inability to negotiate the curve of the roadway.”

Woods was driving at an estimated 84 to 87 mph before the accident.  The car was moving at 75 mph when Woods struck a tree, according to the sheriff.

New Hampshire police say an active arrest warrant is still out for controversial singer Marilyn Manson. The 52-year-old artist is facing two misdemeanor charges in Gilford for allegedly assaulting a videographer during an August 2019 concert at Bank of New Hampshire Pavilion. The warrant was initially issued in October of that year, but so far, neither Manson or his lawyers have come back to the Granite State. Each charge filed against Manson carries a jail term of less than one year and a fine.

John Cena is apologizing to China for calling Taiwan a country. The action star and pro wrestler was promoting his new movie “F9,” the latest installment in the Fast and Furious series, when he told a Taiwanese broadcaster that Taiwan would be the first country to see the movie. The comment drew swift backlash in China, where many consider Taiwan Chinese territory. Cena quickly apologized Tuesday on Chinese social media, and released a video saying in Mandarin that he loves the Chinese people and he’s very sorry for his mistake. Not everyone was happy with his apology, because he stopped short of saying Taiwan was a part of China.
