Governor Tim Walz is unveiling a three-step timeline to end COVID-19 restrictions across Minnesota. At a press conference on Thursday, Walz said the goal is to end most of the restrictions by May 28th. The statewide mask mandate will end if 70-percent of Minnesota residents ages 16 years and older can get vaccinated by July 1st. Starting today, the mandatory closing time for restaurants and bars is ending, and masks are no longer required outdoors unless it is at an event with more than 500 people.
