Minnesota Governor Tim Walz says the work in the state is just beginning following the guilty verdict in the Derek Chauvin trial. Walz spoke after Chauvin was found guilty on all counts in George Floyd’s death yesterday. The Democrat said real justice will come in the way of change that prevents something like this from taking place again, while also expressing sympathy for the Floyd family. Meantime, Walz thanked many who were involved in the trial like jurors and those who testified including Chauvin’s fellow cops. The governor promised that the police presence in the Twin Cities area will be demobilized as soon as possible.
