(St. Paul, MN) — Minnesota Department of Health Commissioner Jan Malcolm says she is concerned over the current COVID-19 numbers, hospitalizations and variants being seen in the state right now. Those were her words at a press conference yesterday, where she described recent coronavirus trends, including the spread of variants, as a “precarious situation.” Malcolm also introduced the Mobile Vaccination Units, retrofitted Metro Transit buses that will serve as rolling vaccine sites for underserved locations and populations. Plans are in the works to get six of them in play. The commissioner said with COVID data reporting similar to how it was in December, it is important to still take health precautions and get vaccinated as soon as possible.
