County Road 27 between Highway 14 and County Road 2, in Le Ray and Jamestown Townships, will be closed for reconstruction beginning the week of April 12, 2021.  Drivers should expect this portion of County Road 27 to be closed until fall.  Thru-traffic on County Road 27 will be detoured via Highway 14, County Road 12, and County Road 2.

This six-mile project includes re-grading and reconstruction of horizontal and vertical curves to current 55 mph design standards, widening shoulders, replacing centerline and drainage pipes within the right of way, reclaiming the existing pavement, placing a new gravel base, and paving a new bituminous pavement over the entire project.

Residents and landowners are encouraged to contact the Blue Earth County Public Works Department to coordinate access concerns with the County and the Contractor, Mathiowetz Construction Co.  For more information on the County Road 27 project please contact the Blue Earth County Highway Department at (507) 304-4025.
