(Roseville, MN) —   The city of Roseville is looking to change the name of one of its parks after it was deemed racially insensitive.   City officials say they are determined to change the name of Pocahontas Park after hearing complaints from Native Americans. Members of the Dakota people say they felt as though naming the park after Pocahontas was offensive as Disney’s interpretation of her was inaccurate and “harmful.”   Roseville Mayor Dan Roe says he is supportive of the name change. City officials say the renaming will take place following further discussions with neighbors and indigenous people.
