In what is seemingly a first for Minnesota, a local man has been arrested in connection to the January 6th riots at the U.S. Capitol. On Friday, the FBI said the unidentified suspect turned himself in before making his first court appearance at the U.S. District Court in Bemidji. He is one of many alleged to have stormed the Capitol to stop the vote certification for President Biden. Federal officials say more than 300 people have been arrested and charged in the riots.
