The Washington Post reports Minnesota is among the states seeing concerning surges in COVID-19 cases. This comes after health officials already said they were worried by coronavirus variants identified in Carver County and case upticks across the state. Governor Tim Walz recently announced relaxed restrictions for Minnesota because more people are getting vaccinated. But, some experts also say they don’t believe virus levels will rise to what was seen during the fall and early winter. Even so, COVID guidelines like social distancing and mask-wearing will still be encouraged as long as the virus is a threat.
