(St. Paul, MN) — This Sunday marks the one-year anniversary of the first COVID-related death in Minnesota. Governor Tim Walz announced Wednesday that flags at state and federal buildings will be flown at half-staff on Friday to honor the lives lost due to the coronavirus. According to officials, the flags will be flown from sunrise to sunset and will continue to do so on the 19th of every month. Governor Walz says he encourages individuals, businesses, and other organizations to join in lowering their flags.
