Police, fire, and other first responders across the Twin Cities are ramping up training in preparation for civil unrest during the Derrick Chauvin murder trial. Law enforcement officials are hoping to learn from the unprecedented riots across the area after the death of George Floyd last summer. The total amount of damage after last summer’s rioting is still being tallied but is expected to surpass 100-million dollars. As jury selection continues, the Chauvin trial is expected to officially begin early next week.
